To celebrate National Water Safety Awareness Week , Water Safety Ireland is hosting a webinar for primary school students on Monday, May 18th.
Junior & Senior Infants, First & Second Class Webinar: 10AM - 10:45AM
Third & Fourth Class, and Fifth & Sixth Class Webinar: 11:30AM - 12:15PM
This fun and interactive session introduces students to important water safety messages through the delivery of the PAWS (Primary Aquatic Water Safety) programme, helping them learn how to stay safe in, on, and around the water this summer .
Through age-appropriate content, students will learn to recognise water hazards , understand basic safety rules, and know what to do if they ever feel unsafe near water.
The webinar is ideal for classrooms and aims to build confidence , awareness , and safe habits before the summer holidays .
Water Safety Ireland’s PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety) outlines the essential life-saving guidelines that every child needs to know, whether they’re learning at home or in the classroom.
Written and designed for all age groups, with beautiful illustrations, a wealth of tips and advice, and all sorts of interactive games and puzzles to reinforce the lessons learned, PAWS offers simple common sense on how we can be safe around our waterways. English and Irish digital lesson books are available with interactive puzzles to match.
